My Story

I grew up in a middle-class family in India and became the first in my family to study abroad. In my teenage years and early twenties, I often felt like the underdog. After being repeatedly rejected in arranged marriage proposals because of my height, weight, and looks, I made a choice — I refused to let society’s shallow beauty standards define my worth.

Instead of waiting for a fairytale, I decided to write my own story. I applied for an MBA program in the United States, and in 2010, I arrived in America with nothing but big dreams and determination.

BUT the universe had different plans. I found myself in a toxic arranged marriage that turned my life upside down. One day, I stood at Chicago airport with my entire life packed into two suitcases — lost, uncertain, and unsure of where to go next. I felt dependent, miserable, and worthless.

That moment became my turning point. I made a promise to myself that no woman should ever feel as powerless or dependent as I once did.

I rebuilt my life from the ground up. Despite every challenge — maintaining my student visa, sleeping on friends’ couches, and living on borrowed money — I refused to give up. I earned my degree and began a journey that transformed not just my career, but my purpose.

My immigrant journey taught me one powerful truth — it doesn’t matter who your father, brother, or partner is; every woman deserves to be financially independent.

That belief became my mission: to help immigrant women stand out in their job search and land their first internship, job, or promotion in North America.


Today, my clients have collectively earned over $60 million in job offers, proving that with the right guidance, confidence, and strategy — anything is possible.
